(Fan fiction for Ephorox. Pairing is of one of my OC's Marcus and one of Ephorox's OC's, King Nick.)
Marcus looked at the clock on the wall in front of him in his office. The hands seemingly frozen in time, not daring to budge. His black sludge which was supposedly some sort of pathetic excuse for coffee was beyond salvation or drinking.
He looked at the picture on his desk which always made him smile. A photo of him and his boyfriend, Nick. "King Nick" as everyone at JDP called him. Marcus picked up the photo, dragging his thumb over Nick's face.
The two men having been dating for six months. Nick, the half dragon- half shark, was undoubtedly the most spectacular man he's ever met. A gentle and considerate person who had the air of a tyrant. His massive body and looks sent chills down anyone's spine. In the picture, Nick was carrying his favorite floatie. Marcus chuckled at this, the one flaw with his man and he found it simply adorable.
Marcus had been working late, not being able to see Nick. Everyone urged him to take a break from the station and take some time off. He pressed the button on the intercom on his desk, "Lucinda."
"Yeah, Chief?" The woman's voice responded back through the speaker, her Brooklyn accent thick in her voice. "I'm talking the day off. No calls please." Marcus could tell she was smiling. "Good for you, Chief! Get some sunshine before you end up like a dried up weed." The elephant's voice continued. Lucinda was a good woman. Turning the speaker off, he got up out of his chair and made his way out of his office.
He took out his phone, sliding open the dial screen. Going through he contacts list, he stopped seeing Trent's name appear. Selecting the text option he began typing a message.
M: Hey, baby.
N: Hey. What are you up to?
M: I'm taking the day off. I thought I'd come and spend the day at JDP with you.
N: Seriously?
M: Seriously.
N: Please! Of course you can, love.
M: I'm on my way now. I'll be there in half an hour, maybe less since there's no traffic today.
N: I'll tell ME that your coming. You know where I am.
M: You got it.
Sliding the phone back into it's default mode, Marcus made his way to his Hummer. He should've done this sooner.
