The Awakening: Part Two.

The night had already fallen when they returned to Lesser's castle. Wolfie gently laid the sarcophagus down on the floor in Lesser's study. "Thank you again, Wolfie. You were a great help and, as always, a pleasure to have in company." Lesser said with a smile. "Hey, same here. I think Zack may have done the most of the hard work though." The bunnywolf replied. The man had already left to his chambers, the day's series of events thoroughly exhausted him. "Indeed. As where lifting heavy objects is of no difficulty for you, Zack manages just the same but not with the ease you have, my friend." Lesser replied.

Zack opened the door to his room and immediately crashed down onto the bed. "Mmmmmmm... Finally. So.. Tired." Zack mumbled as slumber overcame him. Wolfie had left and Lesser was preparing to begin his study of the coffin. "Now then, let's see what we-" Lesser what cut off as the sarcophagus exploded, the booming noise sending shockwaves throughout the castle. Zack was brought out of his sleep when he heard the noise and immediately ran towards the conjuror's study.

"Master!? Are you alright!?" Zack called out as he rushed into Lesser's room. He saw the sarcophagus, or what was left of it, lying on the ground where it was set, but charred and destroyed. "Master!?" Zack called out again. "Don't worry. I'm fine." Lesser answered. Lesser was able to summon a barrier to shield him before the blast.

A mighty roar echoed throughout the castle, a roar not familiar to the two men. "That.. That wasn't Brutus.. Was it?" The blonde asked. "No. No it wasn't." Lesser responded. Suddenly, a group of umberlings came into the room unable to contain their panic. "Be calm!" Lesser ordered, the school of floating spheres dying down.

"Now then, why don't we handle the situation calmly? I'm sure this is nothing serious." Lesser said slowly. "What happened to the sarcophagus?" Zack asked, seeing the ruined pieces of the casket on the floor. "Well, it obviously blew up. Oh, perhaps you mean why it blew up?" Lesser asked. Zack nodded. The umberlings had already begun to clean the shards of the sarcophagus that littered the room. "Hmm. That is indeed a good question, my boy. Perhaps it isn't the sarcophagus that we should be focusing on. But what was inside of it. Or who." Lesser stated. "You think there was someone in there, master?" Zack asked with a bit of worry mixed with confusion.

"Tell me Zack. Do you know what a sarcophagus is for?" The raven haired man asked. "For placing a dead body in, right?" The blond responded, getting a nod from the other man. "That's correct. A sarcophagus is used for placing the body of a deceased into after the body has finished it's ceremony of mummification." Lesser answered, then continued his explanation. "However, it is said that sarcophagi were used not only for just that purpose alone. It is said that those of divine nature use a sarcophagus for when they leave the world of mortals. But what puzzles me is what led the sarcophagus to explode. I don't recall ever reading of such instances."

"Do you think... Perhaps the sarcophagus released whatever or whoever it was that was inside?" Zack asked, scratching his head. "Well, Zack. I do believe that you may be onto to something." Lesser said, making the blonde man smile. Lesser walked towards the mirror on the other end of the room, which fortunately was still intact. "Master?" Zack asked, but was shushed seeing the raven haired man concentrate. "I am seeing if anything has resided within the castle." He said, looking into the mirror. " I see nothing out of.. Wait... What have we here?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. "Master? What do you see?" Zack asked in a whisper, trying not to break his master's concentration. "The throne room.. There's.... There is something preventing me from seeing what it is..." Lesser said, beginning to frown. He walked away from the mirror with a face of confusion. "Whatever is in the throne room, it is preventing me from seeing what it is. It is using powerful magics to prevent me from using the mirror." Lesser explained. "We must see to what has taken root there. But before we do so, we must take Brutus with us." Lesser said.

Brutus, the demon who is another one of Lesser's servants. It was hard to imagine that the man was still in his chambers with what has been going on. "Is he still in his chambers, master? What if he left to see what's going on when the explosion happened?" Zack asked. "I saw him in his chambers when I looked into the mirror. We will meet him there and then we will make our way to the throne room." Lesser instructed and Zack nodded. They stepped out of the door and they instantly felt a change in the air.

"What's this? The air seems.. Different." Zack said, looking around the hall. "The air is polluted." Lesser answered before continuing his explanation. "Whatever.. Entity.. Has taken the throne room, the same magics it used to prevent my gaze, it has spread here. No, it has even reached throughout every room of the castle." Lesser reached his hand through the mist that filled the room. "This magic is unlike any I have ever known." Lesser said.

"What do you mean, master?" Zack asked, twirling his fingers in the mist. "Whatever or whoever it was that was freed from the sarcophagus, it is releasing magics of unbelievable power..." Lesser said. "MASTER!" a voice boomed from the other end of the hall. A figure ran through the mist towards the two men. "Ah, Brutus. This makes things much easier." Lesser said to the thick muscled demon. "Master? What is happening?" Brutus asked, seeing Zack accompanying the conjuror. "I will explain on the way, for now we must reach the throne room." Lesser replied. Brutus said nothing but simply nodded.

The three made their way down the castle passages, the mist becoming thicker and thicker the more they pressed on. They soon found themselves outside the throne room's doors. "Whatever is in here, is extremely powerful." Lesser mentioned before the two reached to open the doors.

"Master?" Zack asked, unsure what to think of the situation. Were they about to face something dangerous? Would it be able to reason? These questions flooded the blonde man's mind. "Brutus, open the doors." Lesser ordered. Brutus walked forward the doors and cracked his neck. He then threw a powerful blow to the door, causing them to open loudly. Stepping inside, the throne room was pitch black and nothing was able to be seen. "We need a light." Lesser told himself. He snapped his fingers, then a bright glow emitted from his hands. Suddenly, the lamps of the throne room kindled with flames. "Well done, master!" Zack complimented. "That.. Was not me." Lesser said. Zack gulped and then noticed Brutus looking directly in front of the throne room. "What the!?" Zack was cut off at the sight in front of him.

Standing at the other end of the throne room stood a white tiger. The tiger was massive in size, his body pouring with muscles. He was wearing nothing but a loincloth as he turned around and opened his eyes. The creature snapped his fingers and the entire room was lit, the room was decimated. The statues were crumbled and destroyed, the paintings thrown off the hinges. Guards lay quiet and unmoving. The guards had apparently tried to fight the stranger, but failed in vain. They were piled unconscious on top of each other. Lesser stepped forward and spoke, "Well, you certainly have made a mess of my throne room. You seem to have me at a disadvantage, sir..?" The tiger responded in saying only one word. "Zalam."
