The Wolf And The Centaur: Part One.

(Fan fiction for Aether718. Pairing is of my OC, Osiris and his OC, Thunderhoof.)

The rays of the sun shone gently and warmly across the calm grasslands and the Kala Village. The people tended to their daily callings as they did to each day that came. The children laughed and played in the fields, enjoying their days of youth. The elderly wore scowled faces, shouting in stubborness at their innocence and that they should take to the teachings of their people. The sounds of men and women chattering on minor things, daily life and whatnot, clung to the air. The men brandishing and cleaning their spears for the hunt at hand were seen sitting against the walls as they boasted on the thrill of the chase.

To the stables, there was a man in a black cloak. The man of mystery calmly walked through the area. "Excuse me, cloaked one? Are you in need of assistance?" A man's voice called out. The man turned around to see a worker speaking to him. Obviously one who works in the stalls and one that is fledgling at that. "I'm looking for someone. Do you happen to know where I can find the one named Thunderhoof?" The cloaked figure asked, his voice in a deep tone. The boy brightened as he knew he was able to be of help. "Yes, sir. Thunderhoof has left to the Nevu Forest. However, I'm afraid he will not be back for some time." The child said. Nodding without speaking he left the stalls and made his way to the direction of the forest's mouth.

Meanwhile, in the Nevu Forest, a mighty centaur had finished his task of gathering firewood for the week. Beads of sweat trickled down the horseman's heavily built body. Raising a hand to his head, he wiped the escaping sweat from his forehead as he laid down the hatchet into the tree stump.

"Excuse me, wo-" a man's voice suddenly spoke out, grabbing the centaur's attention. The cloaked man's red eyes widened at the sight before him. "Thunder...Hoof?"
The centaur remembered the mans voice as he began to make his way towards him. "Hahahaha! Osiris! It is good to see you! How have you been my friend?" Thunderhoof asked, his voice booming with happiness. Osiris knew this was the man he called his friend, but not the same as he remembered.

Thunderhoof brought Osiris into a hug. The scent of human essence still lingering to his aura confirmed him that this was indeed Thunderhoof. Osiris returned the favor as he patted the back of the centuar. "Come. Let us talk, it has been too long." Thunderhoof said walking deeper into the forest.
